Alternative to wireless zero configuration

I can't even connect to my router with windows 7 now, but my ipod works fine...

Is there a BETTER alternative to the built in windows connection manager?

I'm on windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

Does the wireless setting say "No Internet Access"

You need to get wireless drivers that support Windows 7, the XP drivers may not work correctly on Windows 7. There is nothing wrong with the built in Windows 7 connection manager and is often superior to the connection manager supplied with the Wireless card.

Try connection the laptop up via Ethernet and then completing all updates (including optional) and windows might pick up your wireless driver if it is missing.
