Nvidia driver help

I thought that I would update my drivers to see if the latest 295.73 would give me any benefits in Skyrim but after installing and restarting the driver were not loaded. I searched around for some solutions but couldn't find any, i tried to go back to 285.62 and now they won't load either. I'm currently stuck without any drivers and I need help...

My laptop GPU is an Nvidia 9400m Hybrid SLI 256mb

Just tried it a couple of times and it still didn't help me, could i have been doing it wrong?

Managed to get back to some drivers that windows update installed after I re-installed Windows 7. I tried to get the new ones after a new install of windows 7 and i still cannot get them to work at all
The driver that i am stuck on now is (186.52)

are you sure it was the correct driver version for your OS?

Yes, I'm doing everything the same as I used to when I updated the driver but it just won't work

have tried anything like driver sweeper or clean install option from the driver installer itself? if doing so still not solve your problem installing the latest driver then just use the one that working for you.

I tried both of these and still didn't work, last night I installed Windows 8 consumer preview and when it installed drivers automatically it gave me Nvidia version 270.45. I think I'm going to stay with this for now
