0why has pirinter software installer stopped worfking

Hello, I'm trying to install free HP printer driver on Samsung notebook with Windows 7. I've got the right link, but the software installer never completes because of "a problem" (unspecified).

FURTHER REPLY: must have been half asleep when I last replied. My printer is Hewlett Packard s LaserJet P1006. Thanks again for your offer of getting the driver.

Are you sure you got the correct driver for your version of windows 7? There are different drivers for the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version.

Thanks for your reply. I'm away from home (and the printer) at the moment, but will try again on my return. I know that at that point I wasn't sure which version to use and so may have chosen the wrong one.
