Great little rig.

A few suggestions though

better case - free shipping -$10MIR works out to $2 more but you get 4 fans and a fan controller. its a nice quiet gaming case.

I would go with the intel G series CPU for gaming. it is stronger than the Athlon 361. the AMD F1 chips lack a L3 Cache which seems to make them slower in gaming.

about the same price in this combo:

CPU = Intel Pentium G620 2.6GHz Dual Core LGA 1155 - $70
Motherboard = Biostar B75MU3+ LGA 1155 (Has the best features, it is worth it) - $70
RAM = Patriot Gamer 2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 (better than the single G.Skill) - $25
Case = Rosewill Challenger ATX Mid Tower Case (Best Case to go for) - $40 with promo code
PSU = Corsair Builder Series 430W 80Plus - $35 with MIR
Graphic Card = XFX Radeon 6850 1GB w/Dirt3 and STALKER - $135 with MIR

It comes to $375 (with Rebates + Codes), but it will be the best system you can get now, for the price. In the future I would recommend that you buy an Ivy Bridge Intel i3 or i5 and get another 4GB of memory for your system.

You could always try contacting Microsoft and tell them that you had a hardware failure and had to rebuild your machine. They can choose to re-activate the version of windows you have and it will allow it to update to the new hardware and be fully functional.

If not, then be prepared to install vista again :(

either way, its worth a shot.

I would stick to the corsair because its a pretty good umm company but would the G620 bottleneck the 6850?
Im thinking about going for a 6670 because I wont hardcore game and Im not sure if it would run on high settings with 30+ fps umm 1250x 700 resolution
