Great little rig.

A few suggestions though

better case - free shipping -$10MIR works out to $2 more but you get 4 fans and a fan controller. its a nice quiet gaming case.

I would go with the intel G series CPU for gaming. it is stronger than the Athlon 361. the AMD F1 chips lack a L3 Cache which seems to make them slower in gaming.

about the same price in this combo:

I didnt really want to go for the pentium but it would give better performance i guess
May 3, 2012 9:02:45 PM

CPU = Intel Pentium G620 2.6GHz Dual Core LGA 1155 - $70
Motherboard = Biostar B75MU3+ LGA 1155 (Has the best features, it is worth it) - $70
RAM = Patriot Gamer 2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 (better than the single G.Skill) - $25
Case = Rosewill Challenger ATX Mid Tower Case (Best Case to go for) - $40 with promo code
PSU = Corsair Builder Series 430W 80Plus - $35 with MIR
Graphic Card = XFX Radeon 6850 1GB w/Dirt3 and STALKER - $135 with MIR

It comes to $375 (with Rebates + Codes), but it will be the best system you can get now, for the price. In the future I would recommend that you buy an Ivy Bridge Intel i3 or i5 and get another 4GB of memory for your system.

i dont think i had pay for a windows ever in my lifee.......

jsut found someone who has windows... or tryy the other way
May 4, 2012 10:37:58 AM

note: the win 7 on the other hdd may not work. try it but be prepared to install vista again instead.
May 4, 2012 1:21:18 PM

You could always try contacting Microsoft and tell them that you had a hardware failure and had to rebuild your machine. They can choose to re-activate the version of windows you have and it will allow it to update to the new hardware and be fully functional.

If not, then be prepared to install vista again :(

either way, its worth a shot.
May 4, 2012 9:16:34 PM

I have no problem with vista (I liked it more then Win 7 lol) Would games run better on Windows 7?

Im still researching about this.... I can get the same CPU and Motherboard for $95 and get some ram for $20
May 5, 2012 1:10:22 AM

Pentium G620 Il upgrade to a better one later on
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0050W1Z3E/ref=ox_sc_a...

GIGABYTE GA-H61M-DSLGA2 LGA 1155 Il upgrade to a better one later on
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005PX3UYA/ref=ox_sc_a...

Corsair XMS3 4 GB 1333MHz (would this work with the motherboard and cpu???)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZDJ42O/ref=ox_sc_a...

HIS 6850 (anything at a lower cost to run Battlefield 3 on high-medium???)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005D6P0N8/ref=ox_sc_a...

Corsair 430w
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

CASE
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Total = $390 wtf i think im missing something lol (reusing hdd and optical drive) and I get $30 back on amazon :)  and $30 off with rebate so thsi would be total of $330 i guess... This would be primarily for BF3, Skyrim and Minecraft lol

AM I MISSING SOMETHING? Thank you all for your help! :)
May 5, 2012 1:23:10 AM

Nope not missing anything. Newegg has the Antec Earthwats 430w on sale right now for 39.99 which is an amazing deal. Hopefully you'll have a power cord as it doesn't come with one.

Do you think I would bottleneck? I wont get games like Crysis or Diablo or should I stick to this? Thank you
May 5, 2012 1:33:20 AM

nope. the earthwats 430 can power a 6870 and an i5-2400 no problem, so it wont have any trouble with a G620 and 6850 :)

I would stick to the corsair because its a pretty good umm company but would the G620 bottleneck the 6850?
Im thinking about going for a 6670 because I wont hardcore game and Im not sure if it would run on high settings with 30+ fps umm 1250x 700 resolution
May 5, 2012 5:43:58 AM

I'm getting 6770 instead
May 5, 2012 6:01:04 AM

well 6670 is not so bad if you don't really care about ultra graphics or something and settle with low settings.

how about corsair cx 500 builder series? if they still have that rebate on newegg if not a cx430 but it's not any better than antec earth 430 but since you like corsair you can go with that choice
May 5, 2012 7:25:54 AM

Im sticking to the 6850 but I'm afraid the G620 will bottleneck badly :o
May 5, 2012 7:33:15 AM

well it won't really bottleneck it at least not to that extent but it's a good buy until you can upgrade to sandy 2500k or ivy i5/i7
May 5, 2012 7:41:54 AM

Yeah il get a i5 later on that's why I agreed with this processor (1155)

About $440 for everything including Battlefield 3
May 5, 2012 3:31:46 PM

the 630 won't bottleneck the 6850

Yeah im going for the G630 instead of the G620 lol little difference and a 6770 I guess
May 5, 2012 4:47:13 PM

!
