How to remove the write protection of the disk

i have a problem i want to copy some musics on my SD card but each time i do it they asked me to remove the white-protection or used another disk. how do i removed the white-protection?

Is the slider on the SD card carrier in the LOCK position?

i had a problem like that with card reader in old pc


the only way i could get it to work was copy all the data off to pc, then format in camera (no idea why it would let me in camera and not pc)

then load all the data back

its not a perfect solution but its a useful workaround to know
