Prior to purchasing a Toshiba 16X DVD-ROM I read dozens of posts mentioning the low noise levels of the 1502. Well mine is far from quiet. When reading, it will often make a knocking type noise and hesitate. If I'm exploring a CD-ROM using MS Windows Explorer, it will often freeze up for 5 or 6 seconds even though it was accessed within the past 2 or 3 seconds. What gives? Playing DivX movies burnt on CD's works fine without any glitches. Does the loud noise it's making signal a defective drive for sure?
