So I have a CWT-pufp PSU(300w). Its very low, but I just want it to watch the occasional movie and to play playstation 1 emulators(they jerk a little at the moment with onboard graphics).

So what would be the cheapest upgrade to enable me to play the emulator?

I also have dual core, 2gb ram, 500gb HDD and windows 7.

For a PS1 emulator, something like a HD5570 for ~$50 should do.

The 5570 is the cheaper of the two.
Good luck in whatever you choose

Any even cheaper that will maybe run the ps1 emulator?

Nvidia 210 and 430 are quite cheap. Also 5450 but thats slightly higher psu requirement

A 300w psu can run a 5670 let alone a 5570.
The gt430 should be able to do the job if Youre really on a budget for ps1 emulation.

Op is wanting the cheapest upgrade possible to play emulated games 15 yrs old. A 6770 or 7770 seems out of budget

Don't look for Nvidia cards for that budget. AMD has better performance for the same price.

Yes, that is correct flint. So what is the cheapest upgrade I can get, that will run my ps1 emulator smoothly? Just something low end, nothing fancy and most importantly, inexpensive

The 430 is your best bet and will run on a 300w psu
