XP WPA-PSK not working

Hello,
I have two old machines running fresh installations of Windows XP SP3 Neither will connect to the router using WPA-PSK. The wireless connection icon shows "acquiring network address" then "not connected" repeatedly. I have tried using a Sky wireless connection and a TalkTalk connection using a Netgear WNA1100, a Belkin FSD7050 and an Edimax EW-7318Ug and the latest drivers

More about working
  1. You can only install this on Service Pack 1
  2. Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying

This installation is service pack 3 with today's update
  3. Do you have the latest drivers for the adapters ?
  4. Latest drivers for each of the three adaptors on each of the two machines
  5. :D Switch off firewall connect then switch on firewall
