Here's what I want to buy:

AMD FX 4100 Black Edition 3.6GHz Quad-Core Socket $100

ASUS M5A97 Socket AM3+ 970 ATX AMD Motherboard $45

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive $85

Kingston HyperX blu 8GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit (4G * 2) $45

Cooler Master HAF912 Mid Tower ATX Computer Case $60

Thermaltake TR2 Series 500 Watt ATX Power Supply $50

Lite-ON 24X SATA DVD Burner - OEM $18

Total as above: $400

Mouse and Keyboard, no idea so far, please recommend one.

I know Intel 2120 performs better than AMD FX-4100, however the price of 2120+mobo is much higher, and I can get FX-4100 and mobo with discount $40 at MicroCenter. Phenom II X4 960T is out of stock in MicroCenter now.

Let me know if you have any advice/changes.

The i3 actually performs a lot better than the FX-4. The FX-4100 actually performs about the same as the entry level Pentium G620 in games. The Pentium may be worth a look as it's often quite cheap.

Looks great to me, and your video card is already very good also.

You might also want to look at

It's just a bit more expensive and mATX instead of ATX but you get intel 2120. You can also check the other mobo/cpu deals there in the same page, there are a lot of AMD options as well.
