Can I run a Radeon 6950 In Express 2.0 Slot?

My motherboard only supports PCI EXpress 2.0.

Will I have any Issues?

I'm planning on flashing it to a 6970.

A Radeon 6950 is a PCI EXPRESS 2.1 Card

I think you are confused. PCI Express 2.0 is the same thing as Express 2.0 (although I've never heard anyone just call it an express slot). But anyways, yes you will be perfectly fine; that card was meant to run on those slots.

Ahh ok haha. Yes that will work as 2.1 cards are backwards compatible. I'm running a 2.1 card in a 2.0 slot in my build right now so I hope that conforts you a bit :)

Okay but does it impact on the FPS or the speed the motherboard reads the Card at?

There's no speed difference between 2.1 and 2.0 cards; all 2.1 cards do is add some new management features.
