Computer works but monitor stays blank

Hey guys I have a problem. I just bought my i7 3770k and all of my other computer parts except for my graphics card (gtx 680 isn't in stock any where). Anyway when i plug everything in and power on, all the fans spin and the motherboard turns on. The debug light on the motherboard says 55...i don't know what this means and my manuel says nothing about it. Also my monitor is just blank and nothing shows up. I am using a hard drive with windows xp already installed on it. It would be great if you guys could help! thanks!
