Hey, need a little help with my first build. I just want to make sure I made some good buys or at least no bad ones. The systems main use is gaming. I only have 1600 x 900 res so hopefully I'll be able to play games on high settings. I kept my psu and video card from my last pc but will probable upgrade later. Can't get them now because I already went over my budget. This is what I bought.

CPU: i5 2500k
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
DVD b: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
OS: Windows 7 home premium SP1 64-bit

Parts from last pc

PSU: Corsair vx550w
Video card: PNY hlr8 gtx 460 oc
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Gemin II s524

Will this work or should I start returning something?

This build looks pretty good. I'm a fan of the case. On the hard drive, I think you are better off buying a 1TB Barracuda 7200 64MB SATAIII fpr $90. The WD RE4's are designed to be implemented in a RAID array, thus justifying the high PpGB.
