Approximate Purchase Date: This month

Budget Range: around 800-900

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Audio Production

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, sound card

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

Country: USA

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Additional Comments: This is my first build. As stated I’m going to be using it mainly for gaming and music production. Im hoping this build last me for a few years. Below is what Im thinking about right now. Im currently sitting at $876 with the build I have below. It’s based on the $800 gaming build found here, http://gamingrig.blogspot.com/2012/05/800-gaming-pc-may... , which some changes to benefit audio production. I’m also wondering whether the ivy bridge is worth it, or the sandy bridge would be just as good. Also would the multi-threading capabilities of the i7 be worth the upgrade since I will be doing a lot of audio production.

if you are serious about audio production then you need to get a sound card thats quality is based on your budget.

and the $24 you have left really won't cut it.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Why_Me: Im definitely going to check out that board. The features look very helpful and interesting. Have you had any experience with it?

So Im probably going to go ahead and order all the components this week, but I am still unsure about the motherboard. I was wondering if anyone could give me a little advice. I was checking out the ASRock Z75 Pro3 that Why_Me suggested, but I cant find any reviews or stats for it. The features sound pretty cool, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this board, or could recommend me the best one for around the same price.

Also, Ive changed the case Im getting to:

Will this case, with the manufacturer processor fan be enough cooling for the system?

Any any other suggestions, concerns, or comments are much appreciated.
Thanks!!!

I couldn't find a review on that board either but that's no surprise seeing how there's so many new boards released in the past month and the review sites tend to start reviewing the high end boards first and work their way down from there.
