Games not in full screen

why my games (fifa11) not in full screen.the screen give a black on the upper and lower screen but the on left and right side is okay.

specs:

monitor led sync master sa100

hd 5450 ddr2 512mb

Have you tried adjusting the games video settings to 1366 x 768? That is the native resolution of your monitor. Your video card should support that resolution with no problem.

I am not sure about Fifa 11, but many games also have a check box that you can select full screen.

In Windows display settings, does it show your monitor as Samsung Syncmaster sa100, or just "plug and play monitor". i just dwonloaded the driver 3days ago and installed but same problem happen.

one things that i have found is the catalyst won't detect my monitor when I click on monitor properties

If you have not done so since installing the monitor driver, reinstall Catalyst so it can reset itself to the new monitor driver.

If that does not work I do not really know what to say. I have the same problem in some older games on my 19" 1440x900 Samsung. However, those are relating to the games only supporting 16x9 format resolutions and my monitor being 16x10 format. This should not really apply in your case as yours is 16x9.

If you set the game to your monitors native resolution of 1366 x 768(720p), it should just work. I could not find any info on FIFA 11. All I saw was FIFA 12, but no mention of what resolutions it supports. I do know your video card supports 1366 x 768 and well beyond that.

the catalyst software not detected my monitor edid information,is there any way to put the information to the catalyst?

It should detect whatever Windows calls it.

The only other thing I can think of is to completely remove the Catalyst driver and then reinstall it.
