    That's about what I payed for x3 460, not much difference in them.
    BIG upgrade over 4800+
    It depends on what you have now and what you want to get out of it. I got an HD6850 at the same time and they are a good match. Runs any game out there at good frame rates on 1920 * 1200. From what I can tell, the video card has been the bottle neck for me. Asus M5A97 MB, had an M2N.
    My 460 will overclock to 4.0, but I run it at 3.8 with CM 212
    DDR3 isn't much help over DDR2, btw. Didn't see any change in frame rates with the motherboard swap. Windows experience index is 6.9 for processor

  7. I think I've seen a better price on that, but those little Athlon triple cores aren't bad. Despite what people think though, I upgraded my wife's PC to a FX 4100 and its quite a bit faster. If that gives you any idea of relative speed.
