Hello All,

I wanted to purchase a graphics card for my motherboard D101ggc/D102ggc2 (actually i`m not sure which one out of the two it is). the existing power supply is 300W, 3.0 Ghz processor, 1 GB DDR ram. I read in both the motherboard manuals that it has PCI-E 2.0 slots.
Can u please help me with suggestions if i can go ahead with a 1GB GPU DDR3 graphics card?

I was thinkin of purchasing-
Sparkle NVIDIA GeForce 210 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card
or
Galaxy NVIDIA GeForce 210 1 GB DDR3 Graphics Card

yes probably your psu will handle this graphics card (if it is not too old)

yes you can use 1gb gpu, but be warned that this gpu is very weak if you are thinking in gaming, but for photoshop, multimonitor windows applications it is ok.

if those 2 were the only options i think galaxy has best cooling for 210.

take a look at those ones:

Hi Ricardois,

Thanks a lot for your valuable information. Actually, i have found your review quite helpful.
But there is one thing i am a little confused about... The sparkle card has a fan for cooling and the galaxy one has just got a heatsink. So, i would be very happy if you could please elaborate why the galaxy one is better and provide suggestions as i need to buy it by day after.
Thanks in advance dude...!

if the galaxy you are saying is this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162083

and the sparkle you are saying is this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187134

one have no fan because the heatsink is big enough for normal air that goes through the case, since the other have a very small heatsink so needs a fan to cooling;

The galaxy supports multiple screen, 4 DVI output (2 discreet displays split to 4) core clock is higher so it is shader clock, also by what i know galaxy is a much more reliable brand than sparkle.

but i'm not sure this is the one you are looking at, can you give the correct specifications for what galaxy and sparkle 210 you are wanting, there are at least 3 galaxy models in newegg;

well those 2 are almost the same, so it is really a question of brand i would go for galaxy just because it is has a bigger heatsink allowing you to remove the tiny cooler but they are basicaly the same, same Vram Same clock speeds, same conectors. it is only a cooling design difference, like i said galaxy is a more realiable brand and the biggest heatsink design will allow it to stay cooler if you have a normal ventilation on your case.

I have same motherboard as the op (d102ggc2). I am thinking of buying ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GT 210 (EN210 Silent) 1GB. Will it work on my mobo? It has PCI-E 2.0 slot.
