Before I get into details, this is my system:
i5 750
MSI P55 GD65
XFX GTS 250
G Skills Ripjaws X DDR3-2133 PC3-17000
Coolermaster real power pro 550w
WD 1TB
Okay, so I rebuilt my computer with new ram, HDD, and a new wireless card.
My old one wouldn't let me connect to the internet (the antenna was loose on the card).
The new wireless card I have is brand new and it's a TP-Link WN851ND. The card is recognised in windows, comes up at the bottom saying there are connections available. I enter my details... and nothing. Same thing happend with the old card.
I have...:
*Tested the connection on other computers both mac and PC (The internet connection is at university, works fine other than on my pc).
*Got the latest drivers from the tp link website.
* Tried out a different PCI slot on my MOBO.
*Turned off the firewall and any other features.
*Did complete uninstalls using CCleaner on the driver.
Card is brand new... really don't think its the card since I had the same problem with my old card. Starting to think its something to do with windows, or my motherboard.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
