Is an i7 2700k going to be overkill? Maybe i5 3570

Well ive almost finished buying all of the components for my first build:

Zalman Z11 Case
Xigmatek Tauro 700w PSU
ASUS P8Z68-Pro (not Gen3)
8GB Corsair Vengeance
Samsung 830 128gb SSD
1tb WD Caviar Blue
Sony Dvd drive
Saphire HD Radeon 7850

But the one thing ive been holding out on is buying the processor because I still cant decide if the 2700k is going to be overkill

This PC is going to be for (in order)

Adobe Lightroom 4
Adobe Photoshop CS6
Itunes
General Surfing
Gaming
And i also use Handbrake for encoding videos to my ipad's

I'm not even sure if i can use the Ivy Bridge Processors on my MoBo but this is where you all come in
And im only looking for a modest overclock

The i5 is £170 ish and i can get the i7 for £210

How much Adobe stuff, Handbraking and gaming?

50% Adobe apps
25% Gaming
20% itunes and surfing
5% Handbrake

The i7 would be good for you then.

The i5 is best for people mainly gaming, i7s for multithreaded apps.
