Sapphire hd 2600 upgrade

im not expert when it comes to cmoputers .. but recently my graphics card has died .. i diagnosed the problem due to a beep code (1 long 2 short) also had no display, so i pulled out my graphics card and display comes back but cant play games etc etc

my current graphics card is Sapphire HD 2600 XT 512MB

im trying to look for a replacement but a little bit better than the previous

other details:

3Ghz duel core intel
2gb ram
300watts power
32bit Windows xp service pack 3

just looking for any suggestions as to what would be best to replace my old and dead card

around upto 60 UK pounds
im not looking for anything spectacular

just something to replace it maybe a 1/2gb memory
i did find a good one but my power supply is only 300watts

but if you could save up a bit more maybe get a new powersupply and if not a new powersupply the 7750

well im not totaly sure what my mobo can handle if i do upgrade power as it was built by a friend which ive lost contact and i know nothing about the mobo itself just the processor
