Approximate Purchase Date: Next 5 days / Asap

Budget Range: $1500 - $2000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming

Parts Not Required: Monitor, OS, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com, Amazon.com

Country: USA

Parts Preferences: No preference

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Perhaps eventually

Monitor Resolution: No preference

Additional Comments: I want to build a computer with the future in mind. My choices of parts have thus been influenced by the idea of longevity, it may not be needed now, but for the nominal extra investment I would like to get something which will last.

Prospective Build:

CPU- Intel 3770k http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819116501
$350

MOBO: ASUS Deluxe Intel Z77 ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1155 Motherboard P8Z77-V DELUXE -
$269
http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Intel [...] 636&sr=1-1

Graphics Card: Some sort of GTX 680 - $500 (I don’t know which version to get however, what is recommended? Evga, Zotac, Galaxy?
$500

PSU- Corsair 850w Pro series http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139015
$200

Hard Drive(s) - Samsung 830 256GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820147164
(I have read that it helps game performance to have 2 drives working in Raid 0. I have also heard, however, that this has to cut out the TRIM function of the SSD drive. The rebuttle to that I heard was that some intel motherboards allow both to function together. So I am wondering your guy’s advice, is it feasible to do 2 SSD drives in Raid 0 on an Intel motherboard, or is this pointlessly expensive / inefficient for the possible gains?)
$290

Memory - G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
$115

Case- Corsair 400r Mid-Tower http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811139008
$99

CPU Cooler
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
$30

Optical Drive
LG GH22NS90B DVD/CD Writer
$20

Total - $1875

I guess I should add that the advice I am looking for is where I am going way overboard, or where there is a better deal to be had. (Eg. This is roughly equal in power but $50 cheaper). My main concern is the PSU / MOBO. I am not sure if the PSU I have listed is overkill. As for the MOBO, I am not sure if there is something better / cheaper, or if I should be looking for something a bit more pricey. Also, not sure if the case + cooler I have selected will be able to keep the system cool.

Thanks so much for the help guys!

Dude you have so much money :(

But in all fairness with all that high-tec equipment, might as well go for a blu- ray player. Futureproof to the max for when DVD's become the next Betamax
