So when i first received my computer it already had only 2 cores enabled by default. BIOS did and still only offers me only 1, 2 or ALL core options (and ALL means 2, it seems). But i managed to get all 4 cores running by unticking the number of cores in msconfig, and that seriously reduced my performance.
For example: bf3 ran at 15-25fps at ALL lowest settings with 4 cores, and with 2 cores it got a nice 40-60fps with medium settings.

Isn't 4 cores supposed to be faster than 2? :D I need to know whats wrong
I have 4gb ram and a gts 450

Well i brought bf3 for an example because that's the game that is supposed to benefit the most from a quad core, or so i've heard atleast.
