Conroe E6600 was available on ZimZoomFly this morning

Hey,

I got an in-stock alert notification around 1am this morning on the Conroe E6600 retail version. Unfortunately I only got the email now, and IT'S OUT OF STOCK AGAIN. Did anyone here get one? Is it just a glitch, or were they available?

Got the same e-mail last night about 11:00pm.

I keep my e-mail notify live so when I heard the notify sound I checked and saw the e-mail. I opened it and clicked on the link................out of stock !!!!!!!

WTF.....................what kind of useless info is that?

TRUE, well I opened my today right now and is out of stock. I dont really think they got many.
You said you got it yesterday at 11:00pm but... you got it at 11:00pm or you find it at 11:00pm and opened at that time?

I got my notification for the e6600 last night at 9:36 PM ET.

I don't know what time zone you guys are in, but you may have gotten the e-mail too late to act on it.

I didn't bite tho cuz I already got mine OEM from TD.

Frustrating. It's all a marketing ploy. Also, the price seems high. They were originally listing them at $349. This whole launch is turnining out to be disappointing. I should just shut down my old PC (which is a total piece of ^%&^%% BTW), and come back in a month. AARRGGHHHH

Right now I am still waiting for the E6600.....should be here very soon. I have read that the E6300 can "easily" be overclocked with just stock air to what the E6800 Extreme runs at

Now that is awesome in my opinion I initially am going to go to 3.0ghz and see what happens..................that's my plan anyhow ......LOL

UNless you know what you are doing I dont recommend that. It will be very dissapointed to burn your processor. THEY say it can be easily, THEY are they, you are you. You will have your own results. I think going up to 3.0Ghz will be a really hard challenge. Please get the Best Air cooling you can get if you still want to go for it

I hear you...................however I am going on what AnandTech writes in their article.
They state that they "easily" overclocked the E6400 to 2.88ghz so I was thinking the E6600 should be able to be pushed to 3.0ghz.
Obviously I will be stepping it up carefully as opposed to just setting things that high initially. It is my hopes that I can reach 3.0ghz or close to it

okay, so everyone told me yesterday, when i displayed my fastest fingers skills (i owe that to ut2k4 , that they were never actually able to order anything and the in stock alert was just so the pricing could change.

well when it did shoot the alert like yesterday at 7, i got my email alert, shoot there within a minute and bought one. it said like processing all day, then i heard about how they were just changing pricing, it's a false alarm, marketing ploy, etc..

this morning i wake up and check the status of my order and it's: PACKED -- Order has been packed. No cancellations.

when i get my shipping number, i'll let you guys know
