my pc has pentium 4 processor with 3.06ghz and 2gb ddr2 ram and i use windows xp so now on this configuration can i install 1gb ddr3 graphics card????????

pls help me guys..
and if yes then suggest me any graphics card

If you have a PCIe x 16 slot it won't matter what the Vram is you could install a ddr5 it you have the slot. It is another story for the agp slots. since you have a P4 before doing anything see what you have then tell us.

now as u say i can install any graphics card with pcie x16 slot so i want to buy a graphics card from these 2 options
Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3
or
Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GT210 1 GB DDR3
which one is better for me

yes, the pcie slot is x16, thats not an issue, the issue could be the compatability between pcie v1, v2, and v2.1

2. What is you powersupply brand & model
3. What is the monitor resolution you are playing on?

Here are some linkd showing you some numbers on which is better. It wood apear the 5450 is better than the 210 Also you would need a 300w to be on the safe side with these card.

Both of those cards are terrible for gaming. You really have a Pentium 4 in system with a 2.0 PCI-E port?

Both card is really bad for gaming... and while you choose video card ...more memory doesn't mean is good....

if there has a 256MB 6850 Video card it still 5 Times better than 5450 in 2GB ( if it have)....

I will have to agree with what was said above if you are going to use the cards for gaming then they would not be a good card for that. If you want to get into gaming you would need a whole new PC. Good luck to yeah.
