Failing motherboard symptoms

Hello,
My system is acting crazy. Half the time, it just sits on the loading operating system....page. And when it does boot, it freezes at random times,usually during video playback,and then gives me the blue screen of death saying I have a kernel in page error. I have run all the virus scans and am running out of ideas. Any ideas?

Run a hard drive test in DOS...HIRENS CD etc... and check your memory...

i would look at the mem also... run prime 95 blend or superpi 32m its a quick and dirty memory test. if it locks up its likely your ram is damaged... you can them move on to memtest and see if it is for sure.
also try using bluescreen viewer to see what errors your getting...
