Tweaking my first build

I'm going to be building my first gaming PC relatively soon and I wanted to know your opinions on this build. Is there anything I should change?


CPU : Intel i5 Ivybridge 3550k
GPU : Radeon HD 7850
Ram : Mushkin 8gb (2x4gb)
HDD : WD 1tb caviar black
Mobo : ASRock Z68 ATX Intel mobo
PSU : Antec EarthWatts 650W ATX12V
Optical : ASUS 24X DVD Burner
case : Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower

(My budget is between $900-1000 and this comes out to about 930 on newegg)

Looks good. Which Z68 Mobo are you getting? It is a better idea to just get a Z77 Mobo, that way you don't have to worry about any non-updated BIOSes.

Don't go with a z68 board if you want to go with ivy and you might as well get a z77 board, its not much more.
I don't know which Asrock z68 board you were going with but msi is more reliable MSI Z77A-G43 LGA 1155

OS? Good round up. The one i put in my reply before is a good one & so is this one -> GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H. Msi Board is cheaper but that doesn't mean its not any better (it is)
