Hi all, I know this will sound easy for all of you, but I am still a linux newbie. Any comments will be appreciated.
I am using a Microsoft Optical Intelli mouse (wheel). I believe I selected the 3 button mouse during setup, but it doesn't seem like it is working. My main concern is that I can't use the mouse to paste text (I used to do that a lot at work) after I highlight them. Is there anyway I can do this so that I can either press the wheel or click both of the mouse buttons?

I have tried Xf86config and mouseconfig, but it seems to be out of luck.

Thanks a lot.

What distro are you using?
Mandrake 7.2 automatically configures a wheelie mouse
if u select the right option (Miscrosoft Intellimouse).

Otherwise u need to do the 4 5 button mapping in XF86Config and install imwheel (this has good docs).

I did all this manually under SuSE 6.4 and got it to work with my Trust Ami Mouse Scroll Pro.
Well the extra horizontal scroll wheel acts same as vertical but u can't have everything.

Are you pressing the wheel as 3rd button for paste?
or have u tried mb1 and mb2 simultaneously?

Mike
