Forum Windows 7 : Configuration & Customization Office 2003 with windows 7

I have a new PC with Windows 7 Professional. I want to install Office 2003 SBE, which I have on disks. When I try, I get a message that I must first install Office 97 or XP. I do not have either. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

You seem to have an "upgrade" version of the disk.

For now, why not try Office 2010 Beta? (Or use Open Office )

Word of advice... DO NOT post your email address! That's just asking for spam. Otherwise, I think Shadow703793 is right: you probably have an upgrade version. I'm using Office 2010 Beta, and it's remarkably stable for a Beta. I've only found one issue with it so far (some freezing when trying to print through a USB printer shared through another PC). If you don't care about ClipArt, OpenOffice is also a good choice.
