More about first build
  1. I forgot I plan On Overclocking everything as much as possible with air cooling
  2. your headset mouse keyboard speakers and monitor are what are pushing you over the budget xD

And do you have a HDD?
  3. Yes I have a hdd but i need that stuff do you know something better
  4. I can't really think of anything that will cut down on costs too much.
I don't believe that the sound card is 100% necessary, and you could always just buy a cheap mouse/keyboard for the time being.
You could probably also find a decent case for about $50. I'm not too experienced in PC building myself so I don't want to give you any bad advice.
  5. You want a Z77 board if you plan on video editing for the use of quick syn and lucid virtu. Also I would hold off on a sound card until you hear the on board sound first. Chances are you will forgo purchasing the sound card.
