No audio when upgrading to windows 7 home 32-bit

Hi, I just installed windows 7 home premium 32-bit on my HTPC but cannot get the audio to work. I'm using an Aopen i945gtm-vhl mother board. I've tried installing the R5211 version of realtek from Aopen's site, the newest 32bit_Vista_Win7_R268 from, as well as their realtek_hdaudio_5.10.0.5211 with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I would check your speaker connections again, and windows device manager for possible conflicts. Any device driver with a mark next to it means it didn't install. You can uninstall it and reboot, letting windows look for the driver while online. You may also get the audio driver when installing the latest windows update files.
