I built me a new rig about a month ago, got the Sabertooth 990FX mobo, FX-8120 with the stock fan and on stock settings. My case is the Antex Dark Force DF-35, got two fans in the front at full speed, installed a GPU fan but its tilted so it hits in ram + CPU aswell, also got 2 out-take fans in the back, also at full speed so they take out the hot air from the CPU. I don't know if it matters but the GPU is a 6850. My CPU is on 55c when I am not gaming, when I am it can reach up to 87c. (Which is the hottest i've gotten). Now I was wondering what I should do, I came to the conclusion I should get a new fan, but I barely have any money at the moment, so I need suggestions. ><

did you add thermal paste or just stick the heatsink on there? the thermal "pad" on the heatsink is .. not much to say about it, but if you put thermal paste on there and didn't clean off the heatsink, then you double pasted it. that would cause it to do just that.

also what is the room temp?
