Hello. I am building a new pc for diablo 3. I want it to run everything on the highest settings and to run smoothly without any problems. So far i have decided on my CPU and I need to choose a corresponding motherboard. I have narrowed it down to 3 candidates and I would like to know the pros and cons of them compared to each other and which one is best value for money to my CPU. Here goes:

CPU: Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K

Motherboard 1: ASUS P8Z77-V LGA, price is 1216 DKK

Motherboard 2: Gigabyte Z77-D3H, price is 848 DKK

Motherboard 3: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA, price is 1580 DKK

What do you think? All answers are highly appreciated :-)

I'd go with the ASRock Z77 Extreme4. It's quite cheap and perfectly good.

For me, it is a little more expensive than the gigabyte at 992 DKK.

Why should i pay more for the more expensive ones if there are no difference at all?

I'd get a mobo that can handle SLI/Xfire. The Gigabyte can't, as its second GPU slot only runs at PCI 2.0 x4, which is not enough bandwidth for a good card.

And all of the 3 others have that?

Why would anyone pay 20-50 % more for the two other board over the ASRock? Sorry for ignorance, but I am trying to learn, since I had a mac before....

You're probably paying for the name, a slightly higher maximum overclock (because of better voltage regulation, but this is not at all guaranteed) and more ports.

All of which I do not really care about! :)

Thanks a lot for your help
