2600k build will be cheaper. Geforce has better support for your creative needs. Get 16gb ram with the money you'll save with a 2600k system. The nvidia card must have 1gb vram.

HAHAHA, sorry i feel to sleep. Not even joking I posted in bed while using the on screen keyboard.

I use 3dsmax & Adobe CS 5.5 and the best bang for you buck isn't jumping on Ivy bridge, besides they run a little hotter. Go the 1155 with a core i7 2600k, also CUDA acceleration (Nvidia's Engine) is more wide spread then stream (ATI's Engine). Photoshop and your 3d programs can take advantage of CUDA better. I'm acutally doing a 12 hour render in 3dsmax now at 1080p, and i'm very happy with me setup which only costed me 800 bucks 3 months ago.

Do some serious research and on a side note i got kicked in the balls on was i needed 1GB of ram to use adobes mecrury engine on my graphics card, so make sure you get that when buying a graphics card.
