Computer turns on then shutsdown

i think the cpu heatsink may be loose or it chould be ram but it will turn on try to boot then shutdown
please any advice would help

Can you list the components of your computer so we know what we're dealing with?
If you think the cpu heatsink is loose then why don't you tighten it down?
What about the ram makes you think that it's causeing this problem?
Did you build this Pc yourself or did you buy it already built?

Have you checked and rechecked the wireing connections to make sure one of them are not loose , the hard drives both ends of the sata cables and the sata power cable.

Unless you can effortlessly wiggle the HSF, the contact should still be good enough to allow the computer to boot.

First thing I do with PCs that get stuck in an "unexplainable" boot loop is try a different known-good PSU.

I mean work through, not just read over it. We spent a lot of time on this. It should find most of the problems.
