log into the Linksys, and setup your wireless security.

then disable the DHCP and change the LAN IP to 192.168.0.253

finally connect one of the four LAN ports to the D-Link

my network is 192.168.5.1 for the gateway of the dlink, should I change the lan ip to 192.168.5.253 or is there something special about the 0.253 do I have to have the wireless on the linksys match that of the dlink?

usually dlinks use 192.168.0.1

but yes use 192.168.5.253 and it should work
