I'm new to building my own desktop PC and I am having trouble figuring out what is compatible and what is not. Just wondering if someone knows what parts I should buy for the budget and quality I request.

Approximate Purchase Date: May-July

Budget Range: $1300-1500 (after rebates & discounts and taxes + shipping costs)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: moderate gaming, massive server maintainence (Minecraft 24/7 heavily modded 150+ users), moderate video editing capability.

yeah definately might downgrade on the videocard
