Wondering which would be better to over clock to 4GHz I am looking at buying one or the other and over clocking to that and just wondering which one would most likely run cooler..

I am also looking at getting a after market cooler so I am looking for ideas there as well but 4GHz is the mark I would like to be at.

More about : 2500k 3570k temps

The 2500K would run cooler.

....but the Ivy cpu is faster clock for clock, so you don't have to clock it as high to get the same performance.

A 3570 at 3.8 will be just as fast as a 2500 at 4.0.

At stock speeds the 3570k will be cooler than 2500k.
when OC'ed The 3570k heats up real fast!

But as geekapproved said, the 3570k will perform better clock for clock.

If you get a good quality beefy air cooler you can push the 3570k to 4.3ghz.
