Hello !

I'm running XP Pro SP2 and now have the need to use accessibility options
( most notably the on-screen keyboard) To my surprise, the folder
"Accessibility" is there in the Start Menu > Programs > Accessories folder,
but it's empty.

typing "osk" in the RUN dialog resulted in a dialog box stating that the
file couldn't be found.

How can I get back the accessibility options and the utilities associated
with it?

Press [Win-key]+ keys to get the Utility Manager.
Try to start OSK there.

In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32.
If you see osk.exe there, create the following shortcuts:

Target
Start in

Accessibility Wizard
%SystemRoot%\System32\accwiz.exe
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

Magnifier
%SystemRoot%\system32\magnify.exe
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

Narrator
%SystemRoot%\system32\narrator.exe
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

On Screen Keyboard
%SystemRoot%\system32\osk.exe
%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

Utility Manager

AArrgggghhhhhhhh.
Although I have low vision. I REALLY hate the that thing!

Programs.
3. Click Add/Remove Windows Components. The Windows Components Wizard
starts.
4. In the Components list, click to clear the check box next to the

If you want to remove a subcomponent, click Details. Then, click to clear
the check box next to the subcomponents that you want to remove, and then
click OK.
5. Click Next.
6. In the Completing the Windows Components Wizard screen, click Finish
