replacement DVD drives

I'm just wondering if anyone has bought a replacement DVD drive from
the llamma.com site? I read some of the reviews and they were pretty
much all positive. My old Thompson drive finally died, so being unsure
if I could interchange hardware, I bought another Thompson after
reading good reviews.
Is there anything I need to do other than just swap out the drives?
I also ordered the blue LED light set (the lights on all 4 controller
ports, the power button, and the Xbox jewel on top.) Is there anyone
that can testify to their quality? Do they burn out easy and are they
bright?
