Hey, I'm wondering if I can plug a single link DVI-D cable into my monitor and motherboard. I'm unsure if the sockets will only work with dual link cable vs a single link cable not utilizing all pinholes in the socket of motherboard. My local computer store only has single link cables and I'd like to know before I buy it.
Here is my motherboard-

Thanks alot in advance.

it depends on the monitor really, single link is good for 1080p@60 for example, but cant do 1080p@120Hz (doesn't have enough bandwidth for it....) other than that it should work.
