Does nvidia gtx 560 ti fermi support 5 1 surround

can't get my computer to play through my insignia 5.1 surround sound system. tryed using the configure option for my computer, but when i test it, it keeps switching which speakers are playing every time i test.

I'm a bit lost..... what does your GFX card, connected to your monitor, have to do with the 5.1 speaker system connected to your sound port ?

I'm interested in this too. I had a 450 for a brief time and noticed I got 2 channel sound when I connected it to a TV via HDMI. Was wondering if I connected to an amp via HDMI if I'd get 5.1 or 7.1.
