Ie8 stopped prompts for username/password

There is a private web site that requires username/password to access. I access this site from three different computers on a daily basis. IE8 on xp, IE8 on Vista and IE8 on windows 7. The xp and vista computers work fine, IE prompts me for username/password. The IE8/w7 computer no longer prompts for the username/password, just displays a 'You are not authorized to view this page' error 401.2
This happened from one day to the next. It worked, now it doesn't.

Any suggestions?

Have you thought to use a different browser?

If you can provide the URL, other users might be able to test the access with IE8.

IE8 isn't the best web surfer today, do this two steps:

1- THIS, only do the reset step, if doesn't work, continue with the 2nd

This site is a subscription based music site. When working, IE8 will stream and use windows media player to play the stream.
When using firefox, the music file is downloaded then played. I only want to play the stream, not download.
