Gaming rigs - Help needed before purchase

Hey guys, hopefully someone here can help me make my mind up. Im building myself a gaming/everyday use rig and im torn between what CPU to use, i originally picked just the i5 2400 with an Asrock H77 board as my budget isnt that big. I then switched over to an i5 2500K with a Asrock Z77 PRO4-M to allow for overclocking. But my question is, is the extra im spending really worth it?.

CPU - i5 2500K
Mobo - Asrock Z77 PRO4-M
RAM - 2x4GB Corsair Vengence
GPU - Asus HD 7850

HDD - Seagate 1TB 7200rpm
PSU - Corsair CX600 v2
CPU Cooler - Hyper 212

My original build just swapped for the i5 2400 and the mobo to the H77 and dropped the Hyper 212 altogether.

Yes! if you OC there will be a difference in performance.

You don't need to overclock even with TWO 7850's. The stock speed of i5-2400 is plenty fast enough.

geekapproved is correct, the i5-2400 is plenty of speed. But why not get a 3rd gen i5 rather than a 2nd gen? The cost difference is minimal.
