What is Tesla and Quadro

From what i found online, it was advertising tesla to "make your own personal supercomputer, and it was calling Quadro a GPU used for CAD. So far, im only familiar with the GeForce series. what are the Quadro and Tesla GPUs. What are their uses, and how do they differ from one another? which one is generally stronger, and why do they cost so much?

Quadro GPUs are typically used in workstation/professional grade systems. Apps like CAD, CAM, 3D Modelling, etc. There are both desktop/workstation and mobile variants.

Tesla is used in HPC environments where the GPU is used to off-load processing from the CPU for specialized tasks. See this link for more:

So, why are you asking, other than for the knowledge? BTW, they cost more because they are generally built to higher specs and the drivers are quite specialized.
