Getting a new Monitor

Hey guys!

Need some advice regarding LCD Monitors. Limited budget and the intent is for gaming only!!

Here are my choices in no particular order:

1. Asus VH238H

2. Asus VS238H-P

3. Acer S232HLAbid

4. Samsung S23A350H ToC

Gotta be within $220 budget if anyone has other suggestions, I simply cannot afford to go for a 120hz option...

Your monitor would depend on the Video card you have.

If your video card has HDMI then you'd want a Monitor with HDMI...

- Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z mobo

- i5 2500K CPU

- Radeon HD 6950 1GB version

It has everything the 2nd choice has including more.

Forget about Acer.

Asus is always better than Samsung as Asus has more experience making computer parts. Asus makes motherboards, mouses,keyboards, video cards, everything...

Samsung makes TV's and Monitors and some other stuff.

I currently using a Samsung Monitor ~
I quite like my Monitor for it LED backlit ~

becoz of my country didn't import Asus Monitor so I can't comment on tat

Sorry to nitpick but ASUS is always better than Samsung? I think you'll find that LG are the biggest supplier of LCD panels so it doesn't matter what manufacturer you buy from they are generally the same product under the hood just with their badge on.

Same with vipervoid1, just bought Samsung S23A350H. Love it and I'm happy with what i chose. It's worth it. With combination of Nvidia settings (Digital vibrance to max) the view becomes even more beautiful. I don't know about other monitor though but I'm happy with this one.
