Hi guys first post.
Just bought a used PC from ebay
£390

NZXT Phantom White/Red ATX Gaming Case
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 AMD AM3 ATX Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1100T 3.3GHz Processor CPU Black edition
ST-2TBS/64-WD20EARS - Western Digital Caviar Green 2000gb Hard Drive
C-CMP12GX3M3A1600C9 - Corsair Dominator 12GB (3x4GB) Memory
Zotac GeForce GTX 560 2048MB Graphics Card
Sumvision SVW322P 300M Wireless N PCI Adapter Card Wifi
800W ATX Modular PC Power Supply PSU
ASUS BW 12B1LT Blu-Ray Drive

Unpacked it and then nothing on the screen.
It does not boot up, no bios on the screen even. No beeps.
Cpu and gpu fans spin, and the case fans spin.
The psu fan does not move at all.
Motherboard has digital post display. It reads 00 at all times.
There is no code for 00.

Owner says it was working perfectly 3 days earlier, apologises and has agreed to refund.

I want to give this a bit pc more time as I like the spec.

There is a buckle in the bottom of the case, suggesting it had a rough ride to my house. Got a hunch the psu is shot. Ideas ?
Would a rough ride and a knock damage the psu or the motherboard ? the psu is not an expensive type. Case was covered in 2 thick layers of bubble wrap.

I'm thinking of getting a replacement new psu and plugging it in. If it works, then great, if not; it will be the psu for my next pc.

Any thoughts on this, and recommendations for a new power unit folks ? 70-80 pounds ?

Off to work now, thanks, simon.
