Forza Motorsport Question

I received the game 2 weeks ago and really like it.

The question I have is when selecting a level it will show 2/3 races
completed.

When is a race completed? I have raced in all three available races the
same number of times but for some reason it is only counting 2 of the 3.

I believe you have to win a trophy for it to be "completed". That is, 1st,
2nd , or 3rd place....
