Hi Guys,
I have never built a PC before and was hoping to do so this time.
I have chosen some components that I think are compatible with the motherboard.

Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H Motherboard
Intel 3.06 GHz LGA 1156 Core i3-540 Processor
WD Scorpio Blue 320 GB HDD Internal Hard Drive (WD3200BPVT)
Asus DRW-24B3ST Internal Optical Drive (Black)
Corsair CMPSU-500CXV2UK 500 Watts PSU
Cooler Master Elite 310 Cabinet
Transcend DDR3-1333 DDR3 4 GB PC RAM (JM1333KLN-4G)

I have chosen Intel specifically.
The motherboard has DVI,VGA and HDMI ports.
Graphic card is not very important as I will not be gaming on this machine.
Just light web browsing, e-mails and some other basic stuff.

Can you'll tell me if the components are compatible and even suggest other parts better than the current ones.
Thanks a lot for your time,
TheZobot1

The processor will not fit in that motherboard. The processor you have chosen is a socket 1156, and the motherboard is a socket 1155. You will need a second Gen I series processor like an i3-2120.
