Hello everyone. First time poster here so be nice :).

I have a computer I built that is getting a little long in the tooth. It still works fine for my purposes but it needs a larger hard drive. As I have been researching my upgrade options I decided any new HD must be SATA6. Unfortunately my current MB only supports SATA3. This led me to looking at new MB and possibly a new CPU. The caveat is that I am between jobs so my budget is very tight. I have roughly $100 to spend on any MB/CPU combo. I found a MB I think will work for me but I am having trouble telling if any CPUs in my budget range would be worth getting over the CPU I have currently. What I thought I would do is list my current system and the board I am thinking about picking up and ask if there is a low cost CPU out there that will make a big improvement in what I have now. Thanks.

Current System:
CPU: AMD Athlon II 630 2.80 GHz

MB: GA-MA790GPT-UD3H

This is the MB I found.

ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AMD 890GX AM3 Motherboard

Is there a CPU in the say up $100 range that would be a worth while upgrade over what I have now?

Thanks everyone.
