Will The Cooler Fit?

Hi guys

I have a Cit Vantage Midi Mesh Case with a AMD Phenom 965 BE, since the stock cooler was so loud and not very good at cooling I was thinking of getting the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus or Evo edition, but I'm unsure whether it will fit without touching the case?
Could somebody who has the same case provide some info please, it would be greatly appreciated

More about will cooler
  1. 7.28 inches wide < your case
6.25 < evo or plus It would be close, you usually need about 7.5 inches to be sure.

Should I risk it then or would i just be better off with a TX3 even though its not as good but at least it will fit?
  3. I wouldn't risk it.......

Also, would that be 6.25 inches with the fan facing towards the ram or facing towards the side of the case? Thanks

The fan is flush with the heatsink. Which side it is on makes no difference as far as height clearance is concerned.
  6. The fans are side mounted so make sure you have ram clearance,i had to go with low profile ram for mine.
  7. No but why 1 stick?
  8. Understood, thanks. It just occured to me that the fan isn't mounted on the top like a stock cooler. And I have a single stick of Vengeance high profile ram furthest away from the CPU, would that still be a problem?

I currently only need one stick of 4GB RAM, I might buy another stick of 4GB soon, how many RAM slots can i expect the Hyper 212 to cover?
  10. I just had to use low profile but all my slots are usable depends on board and fit.
