APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Between May and July

BUDGET RANGE: $100-$175 rebates are fine

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: DX11 Gaming. Able to run Metro 2033 at higher settings than my current card.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: EVGA GTS250 1GB, Corsair GS800W

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 3.00GHz, nForce 790i Mobo

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Preferably CompUSA, but I can do NewEgg if it's a better price. I don't know many other sites, so I'm open to suggestions. There is also a Fry's nearby my house.

PARTS PREFERENCES: nVidia

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe, but not soon after purchasing

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1980 x 1080

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have looked around a bit, and based solely on reviews, I do like the EVGA GTX 550 Ti.

Best Video card for you max limit would be a 6870 like this one :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The 550 ti is not bad and is a bit cheaper but here is a comparison with the 6870 vs 550 ti

http://www.hwcompare.com/9710/geforce-gtx-550-ti-vs-rad...

If you wish to stick with Nvidia then maybe a 560

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

180 after MIR.

Any of these cards will run faster then your current card, however I doubt you can run max settings if thats what you wanted.

gtx 550ti is not a good card and hw compare is for only cards data not performance comparison.

for that price you should go with hd 6870 is an good card of its price plays games very well on 1080p resolution.:)

if u can collect littlebit more then this after rebate its 199.99$ which means $200 good one its an gtx 560ti.

Ok thanks for the advice people. I'll be buying in late June or July, so there may be some sales on NewEgg or something.

P.S. That is the most useful hardware site I have ever seen! :o
